Psalm 77:19

Your path led through the sea, your way through the mighty waters, though your footprints were not seen.

For The First Time

Any girl that has friends hates to see them hurt. When that girl has troubles with her boyfriend about what will happen to them when they part ways after high school it always puts stress on their relationship. Sometimes life works in mysterious ways and sends signs for you in hopes that the signs will help you along the way!

This song is for any of you who feel that way....including you girl!!!!

Life through her hazel eyes....: Sisters For A Week.

Life through her hazel eyes....: Sisters For A Week.: "The pictures hang on my wall The memories reside in my mind I've missed you all since I last saw you. Our week together, something I'll ..." This pretty much describes every girl that experiences Cottey and that is why I love it!!!

Hannah Montana Forever

As I am sitting here watching reruns of Hannah Montana Forever I am praying for Miley that she may find the road that God has made for her and that her family can find peace within.

I have been a fan of Miley since I can remember. I have seen all the episodes at least twice, been to all of her concerts, and I have so much memorabilia that it is not even funny.

My heart just breaks when ever I see a new news headline with Miley and/or her family in trouble. She has been such a role model for me. When I would be made fun of because I liked her I was taught, through Hannah Montana, that you should stand up for what you like and believe in.

While some don't like the show you have to admit that they do teach lessons that should be learned.

The moments that happen between Miley and her family and Miley and her friends warms my heart because they are real moments between real friends and family.

Through everything I hope that Miley can find peace in life. Miley I <3 you and  pray for you, your family, and your friends everyday. <3

Verse of the Day for February 25, 2011

Today's Verse

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things; his right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.
— Psalm 98:1 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

Songs can stir us up or they can bring us comfort. Songs can take us back to a special time, or songs can give us hope for things to come. Unfortunately, we usually leave the composing of the words and the music of our songs only for someone else to write, never taking time to write our own "new song." But today, why not make up your own new song of praise and thanks to God. It doesn't have to be great, just heartfelt and offered to the Father from whom all joyful songs come.

My Prayer...

Father God, thank you for the gift of song. Please receive my song of thanks and praise from a heart you have filled with your delight. In Jesus' name. Amen.

I love this verse because music is sometimes the only thing that makes the world go round. Song is a marvelous thing when you are home alone (like I am right now:D), you are on a walk, or you are just down in the dumps. I know that I listen to my iPod when I want a little bit of everything. But there are the times when all I want to listen to is Christian music. While I do have my Christian songs on my iPod I don't have a lot so I turn on our local Christian music station LIFE 107.1 and I know I can count on them to play all the newest and most uplifting music for the day. So the next time you are down just remember to turn on what ever music you feel like listening too and I think it may help you out!

Today's Bible Verse

He who despises his neighbor sins, but blessed is he who is kind to the needy.
— Proverbs 14:21 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today's Verse...

God has been so gracious to us! Think of all the different ways he has blessed us -- some financially, others with great opportunities for service, others with deep personal relationships that are eternal, and for all of us, the promise of life with him. But what will we do with these blessings? Will we hoard them, hide them, and keep them to ourselves? If we do, our blessings will wither, crack, and dry in our parched hearts. But, one of the greatest ways we can thank God for his kindness, mercy, and goodness is by sharing these blessings with those around us, especially those in need who can never repay us for our kindness.

My Prayer...

O LORD God, my gracious and generous Father, thank you so much for the many rich blessings you have poured into my life. Open my heart, dear Father, and use me as a conduit of your blessings so that others may know of your love through my actions and attitudes. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

Today I was really shown this verse. I am just so glad that God blesses me everyday with things that I didn't even think would come true! I <3 God. But Soloman was right when he wrote, if we just keep all our blessings to ourselves than we are selfish. If you are ever blessed make sure you let be known that you have been and share your joy and happiness with them!

Friends

A friend is someone we turn to
when our spirits need a lift.
A friend is someone we treasure
for our friendship is a gift.
A friend is someone who fills our lives
with beauty, joy, and grace.
And makes the whole world we live in
a better and happier place.

Will You Ever?

Will you ever?

I don't think you will
ever fully understand
how you've touched my life
and made me who I am.

I don't think you could ever know
just how truly special you are
that even on the darkest nights
you are my brightest star.

I don't think you will ever fully comprehend
how you've made my dreams come true
or how you've opened my heart
to love and the wonders it can do.

You've allowed me to experience
something very hard to find
unconditional love that exists
in my body, soul, and mind.

I don't think you could ever feel
all the love I have to give
and I'm sure you'll never realize
you've been my will to live.

You are an amazing person
and without you I don't know where I'd be.
Having you in my life
completes and fulfills every part of me.

Movies

There are the movies that you just do not want to watch. Then there are the ones you are in love with!

My family just recently got Netflix for our TV. It is one of our guilty pleasures. It is nice because I love to watch movies but I never feel like looking half way decent, getting in the car, and driving 5 minutes to see a movie. With Netflix I am able to pick whatever movie I want and have it either streamed through my TV instantly or mailed to my house! I have since become a major movie buff and I am watching the movies I have always wanted to see!

Just tonight I watched 'Charlie St. Cloud'. Movies like this are my favorite. I love me a good old drama movie! The Last Song, Titanic. If it makes me cry you know it will forever be one of my favorites. Just the feeling I get when I watch a movie I love much less the wanting of the love, the scenery, or the friendship There are just some awesome awesome movies.

I also love musicals...if they are not too cheesy and lame! Of course I love watching the "famous" version of our musical we are performing at our high school. I also love your typical High School Musical, Hairspray, those types! I love the music and actors that can see :D.

My next favorite genre is action/adventure/suspense. Inception, Shutter Island, Treasure Island...along those lines! I love the intense scenes and the thrilling feeling you get when you are on the edge of your seat the whole time.

Finally I am a big fan of comedies. The best all time comedy is The Diary of a Mad Black Woman. I just love Madea and Tyler Perry!!! There are also the classic Hangover, The Grown Ups, Old Dogs!!!! Plus I love to laugh!

Now that I have listed my favorite movies how about some of my favorite actors/actresses. The first big...guys! Zac Efron, Channing Tatum, Mathew McConaughey, Bradley Cooper, Owen Willson, Adam Sandler, John Travolta, ..I could be missing a few. Actresses: Miley Cyrus (Duh), Sandra Bullock, Reese Witherspoon, Rachel McAdams, Kate Winslet, Jennifer Aniston, Vanessa Hudgens, Julia Roberts, Emma Watson, Alexis Bledel, Anne Hathaway...I could be missing a few. Basically if they have been in a movie I have fallen in love with they will be on my list!

Then there are the movies that seperate themselves from everyone else: DISNEY!!! I have forever grown up with these movies. I can't even remember my first Disney movie I can just remember the joy I got from watching them. Heck I even still love them all and still feel the same way! Walt Disney, the brains behind the whole operation, once said this 'I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse. ' To think something so magical could have been started by a mouse! Disney will forever live on in my heart, my friends and enemies hearts, and my children's hearts!

Let us just I love movies! They bring that little simple joy in the time I most defiantly need it!! Now tell me about your movies!!!

Snow Day

Snow next to the mailbox
We had a terrible snow storm last night resulting in major snow drifts, bad roads, and a snow day!

Snow drifted outside our back door
I started my snow day off with waking up at 7:30 and then go back to bed until 10:00 in the morning to my sister calling me wondering if my dad went to work. I woke up did a little FBing and watching the end of The Rocky Horror Picture Show (creeeepppyyy)!

Snow against my car, a little above the
windows
My stomach started rumbling so I went to go grap a bowl of strawberry frosted Mini Wheats (yum) and popped in my Glee DVD's!!! My mom then came home with my sister and her friend. While my sister and her friend did there thing my mom and I did the whole scholarship thing (ugh).

After TWO hours of scholarshipping I went outside to wipe away the snow the snow plow man decided to put in our driveway! I came in had a little hot chocolate and more FBing, put some pictures up on FB of the snow storm after math, then decided that I should organize my iPod!

Through all that I did not take a shower and that is part of the blessing of a snow day, you do not have to worry about doing anything!!!

Overall I thought it was a pretty good snow day!!! What do you do on your snow days?

Looking Back with Toy Story 3

My family and I recently watched the movie Toy Story 3. Before I watched this movie I knew that it was about Andy leaving for college and he was going to get rid of his toys. I've heard that this movie was bad and this movie was good. I thought this movie was one of best especially for a sequel to a movie! Let's face it some movies just do not need a 2nd or even 3rd installment, but this was a good choice for Disney to make! If you have not seen this movie I highly recommend it. Your 3 year old will love the whole essence of Toy Story and your 17 year old will connect with Andy as he prepares to leave home.

When the first Toy Story came out I was about 3 and I just remember watching it and being awestruck. When the second one came out I was 6 and as with any sequel they are not so good but was impressed with this one! Then when this movie came out I just thought oh no this is not going to be good. Little did I know this would become one of my all time favorite Disney movies!

The movie has all of your original characters: Andy, Andy's mom, Molly, Woody, Buzz, Jessie, Bullseye, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Rex, Hamm, Slinky Dog, the little green guys, and Barbie. The movie also has new characters like Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear, Ken (for Barbie :D), and all of their friends! The movie starts off with Andy leaving for college and all of the toys have not been played with in a while. Andy has to decide what stuff in his room goes with him to college, what goes in the attic, and what has to be donated. Andy decides to take Woody with him to college and put the rest in the attic. But by accident the other toys are put in the trash by Andy's mom. The toys end up escaping and put themselves into a box to be donated to Sunnyside Daycare. Woody, being the only one to see what really happened, tries to save the toys but the toys are persistent with the fact that they think Andy does not want them. As the toys get acquainted in the daycare they come to find they do not want to stay there and want to go back with Andy. Just like in the other movies Woody seems to put a plan together and good things always happen at the end of Disney movies! At the end you see a sentimental moment between Andy and all of his toys (that makes anyone with a heart and a love for Toy Story to cry).

As I watched Andy get rid of all of his toys I was crying! I am 17 and will be leaving for college very soon and the thought of getting rid of my sentimental things breaks my heart. I know that I cannot hold on to them forever but to me they are so special and hold a special place in my heart that I will never let go of! It will be hard to release the toys and nicknack's that have memories that I never want to lose but just like Andy I know they have a special place in my heart and someone will enjoy them for me!

I watched this movie with my mom. If you do not know my mom she has pretty much been crying every day this school year because of the fact that I will not be here a year from now! My mom, aside from the relating to it part, enjoyed this movie a lot.

I would recommend this movie to anyone no matter how young or old you are! Make sure you watch it with your whole family!!!!! You and your family will love it!

New Year

2 hours has passed in 2011!!! While I am sitting here I keep thinking about why we celebrate this day. I mean I know that it is a new year now but why? It could be just like any other normal day, right? How do you celebrate it...by hanging out with friends/family....going to a local hangout...going to a few of the local bars...do you sit at home lonely....do you watch the countdown of the ball drop with Dick Clark...are you in bed when it turns....or do you just let it be like any other normal day!?!? In whatever why you celebrated I hope you enjoyed it and had a ton of fun. Me I went to a friends house and had a blast. We had food, talked, played some games, watched a movie, watch the ball drop, and then we did some celebrating ourselves!!! It was so fun and I will defiantly remember it next year!!! But why did I do that? I searched the internet on why we celebrated and there was no definite answer so really there is no reason. The reasons could be endless...look back on the old year and ahead at the new....another excuse to spend with those you love most.....or to see how much this year has changed and know that no matter what God has something bigger and better in store for you in the new year!!!

Now this is not the best post but I hope it got you thinking!!! :D And don't worry I will finish reflecting on this blog!! :D June Part 2 is coming up next!! :D

Happy New Year!!!!!!!! Happy 2011!!!!!!! :D <3
